Congrats to previous Success Story of the Year Award winner and second time nominee, Mia Martina.
As last year’s EBA Success Story of the Year Award recipient Mia Martina’s star has only continued to rise. In November her single Latin Moon became certified Gold in Canada with the song breaking the top 10 on both Much and MuchMore Countdowns.
This follows the success of her first single Stereo Love, which reached #10 in the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 in November 2010 and was certified platinum. Mia was also featured on the song Dream Catcher from Danny Fernandes’ second album AutomaticLUV. Mia worked with Belly and RyanDan on Devotion her debut album, which was released by CP Records this summer.

Congrats to Success Story of the Year Award Finalist JRDN!
JRDN, aka Jordan Croucher, is a Canadian R&B/hip-hop star and former basketball player. Croucher elected to give up on his hoop dreams and re-immersed himself in music by working with Halifax producer Trobiz and recording mix tapes with the groups N.E.P. and Triple Threat.
He eventually hooked up with multi-Juno Award nominated artist/producer Classified (Luke Boyd), who produced JRDN’s 2007 debut album, No Dress Code, spawned the hit singles and videos Selfish Times, Feelin’ Fine, So Addicted, Won’t Let Go and It’s Raining. It also earned JRDN a CBC Galaxie Rising Star prize, an East Coast Music Award nomination and an appearance on the CBC Television special, Barenaked East Coast Music.
JRDN is now working with Toronto’s Grammy Award-nominated Kuya Productions songwriting and production team.

Congrats to our amazing Success Story of the Year Award Finalist Fefe Dobson!
This year, Fefe Dobson’s album Joy reached Gold status. The album, which was released on November 22, 2010 in Canada, features the single Can’t Breathe, which hit number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 in March 2011.
Dobson was recognized at this year’s MuchMusic Video Awards, winning the Ur Fave Video award for another song off the album Joy called Stuttering. Visit Fefe online at http://fefedobson.com/

Alyssa is perhaps best known for her single Alone Again ft. P. Reign, which reached number 11 on the Canadian Hot 100 and is a certified Gold in Canada. Alyssa reached #1 on Billboard’s Canadian Emerging Artist chart in February, and her star continues to rise. Alyssa just wrapped up a co-headlining tour with Neverest which took her across Canada this fall. Her most recent single, The Game, is steadily climbing the charts and hit #13 on the MuchMusic countdown this week.

Congrats to our amazing Success Story of the Year Award finalist Adam Cohen!
The multi-talented and multi-lingual Adam Cohen is capping off a stellar year with a tour to support Like A Man, released on October 4, 2011.
Like A Man is Adam’s 4th CD release and features the first single What Other Guy. The ablum follows Adam’s 1998’s self-titled debut album, 2004’s Ex-Girlfriends (Low Millions) and 2004’s Mélancolista. The official full-length music video for What Other Guy is currently in heavy rotation on MusiMax and was the most recommended music video on MSN Canada during its online premiere.

The album title is apt because the six musicians feel that they plug directly into the world’s music and energy.
